In October 2025, former spouses Christina Haack and Tarek El Moussa made headlines for their behind-the-scenes collaboration to remove Haack's estranged third husband, Josh Hall, from their HGTV series The Flip Off.
Haack and El Moussa, who were married from 2009 to 2016 and share two children, had reunited for the show, which was originally set to feature the former couple competing against Haack and Hall. However, after Haack and Hall's split in July 2024, El Moussa stepped in to ensure Hall would no longer be part of the series.
According to Haack, El Moussa personally contacted their shared attorney and the network to notify them that Hall would "no longer" be involved with the show. The producers then asked Haack to have a scene where she informed El Moussa of the change, leading to an emotional conversation where the exes forgave each other "100%" for their past mistakes.

"It was emotional," Haack said of the scene, which lasted over an hour and left the production crew in tears. "Through the years we have obviously had talks, and we've apologized to each other, but not on camera and not like that."
Despite their tumultuous history, Haack and El Moussa have maintained a professional relationship, with El Moussa continuing to work with Haack on Flip or Flop until the show's conclusion in 2022. Haack has praised El Moussa as a "hard worker" and "great dad," and the former couple appears to have found a way to co-parent their children amicably.
