In a thrilling development, Taraji P. Henson has been tapped to lead the television adaptation of Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson's novel "The Accomplice." The mystery drama series is currently in development at Peacock, with Universal Studio Group overseeing the project.
Henson will take on the role of Nia Adams, a fearless Texas Ranger who finds herself on the trail of a master thief, Desmond Bell. As Nia closes in on the elusive criminal, she uncovers a far-reaching conspiracy that forces her to make a difficult choice – expose the truth or protect the very system she has sworn to serve.
The series, which does not yet have a writer or showrunner attached, will be executive produced by Jackson under his G-Unit Films and Television banner. Henson will also serve as an executive producer through her production company, TPH Entertainment.
