Tammie Rosen, Film Festival Force, Dies After Cancer Battle

Tammie Rosen, a beloved mainstay of the film festival circuit and a highly regarded publicist, has passed away at the age of 49 after a courageous fight with cancer. Her career was marked by significant contributions to major film institutions, leaving a profound impact on the industry.

Rosen most recently served as the Chief Communications Officer for the Sundance Institute, joining in 2020. During her tenure, she adeptly guided the organization and the Sundance Film Festival through unprecedented challenges, including virtual events and the transition to an in-person festival, while also overseeing plans for its relocation. Earlier, she spent 12 years as EVP of communications and programming at Tribeca, where she helped expand its reach internationally.

Beyond her professional achievements, Rosen was known for her adventurous spirit, having undertaken a nearly five-month solo trip across the U.S. and Southeast Asia, a journey she shared with friends and colleagues.
