- Crime drama explores the fragile line between good and evil

In November 2025, a Taiwanese production company, GrX Studio, is showcasing its latest project, "The Ones I Killed and The Ones Who Killed Me," at the Taiwan Creative Content Fest. The psychological crime drama follows a Taiwanese psychiatrist living in the U.S. who becomes entangled in a series of serial killings that have occurred over the past three decades.
The story is adapted from a novel by Akira Higashiyama and centers on the complex relationship between two childhood friends, Jason and Morris, who grew up in dysfunctional families and vowed to be each other's family. However, one incident tears them apart, leading them down very different paths as adults. Jason works as a psychiatrist assisting the police, while Morris has become a serial killer challenging society's definition of sanity.
The narrative explores the fragile line between good and evil, as the psychiatrist is forced to confront his own traumatic past and the brutal crimes committed by his former friend. The series aims to delve deeper into the psychological and moral implications of the case, pushing creative boundaries within the crime-thriller genre.
Filming is planned for both the U.S. and Taiwan, with the production team actively seeking international co-production partners. The script is currently 80% complete, with pre-production slated for Q3 2026 and filming scheduled to commence in Q1 2027.
