Actress Taapsee Pannu recounted a past incident where a male co-star influenced the rewriting of her introduction scene in a film. Pannu, speaking at a session on women driving Indian cinema, highlighted systemic gender bias in the industry. She noted that actresses typically arrive on set earlier than male actors and receive unequal accommodations.

She further described how her forcefully delivered dialogue, "Go to hell," was altered in the dubbing studio due to the hero's objection. Pannu insisted on retaining the original line, even proposing to have it muted rather than re-dubbed incorrectly. Despite her resistance, a dubbing artist was reportedly hired to change that single dialogue.

Pannu shared this experience to illustrate the challenges faced by women in cinema, emphasizing her refusal to compromise her performance or dialogue delivery.
