Born in Brighton Beach, NY, Gold initially worked as a shoe model. She later moved to Los Angeles in 1965, starting her career in talent representation as a secretary at Ashley-Famous.
She joined the newly formed International Creative Management (ICM) in 1975. There, she advanced to the position of President of Television Talent, a role she held until her retirement. The agency, later known as ICM Partners, was acquired by CAA in 2022.
Gold is survived by a nephew, three daughters-in-law, and six grandchildren, marking the end of an era for many in the entertainment industry.
