Sydelle Noel, currently appearing as Detective Tamara Green in season 4 of Prime Video's "Reacher," revealed she was once considered for another significant role in the series. Noel had previously auditioned for the character of Neagley, a role that ultimately went to Maria Sten. Neagley is known as a highly skilled former U.S. Army master sergeant and Reacher's trusted confidante.
Noel found her current role as Tamara Green, a detective with the Philadelphia Police Department, to be an ideal fit. She embraced the physical demands of the character, undertaking a rigorous preparation regimen. This included adjusting her workout routines and meal plans, incorporating heavier lifting and running. Noel aimed to match the intensity and dedication shown by co-star Alan Ritchson, who portrays Jack Reacher.
Season 4 of "Reacher" draws inspiration from Lee Child's 2009 novel "Gone Tomorrow." The season follows Reacher's investigation into a suspicious suicide that uncovers a larger conspiracy. The series stars Alan Ritchson as the titular character and airs on Wednesdays.
