SWAT Spinoff 'Exiles' Surfaces at 2026 LA Screenings

The S.W.A.T. franchise is extending its reach with a new series, "S.W.A.T. Exiles," which recently premiered at the 2026 LA Screenings in Los Angeles. The show brings back fan-favorite Daniel "Hondo" Harrelson, portrayed by Shemar Moore, who is pulled out of forced retirement to mentor a unique, experimental SWAT unit composed of young and unpredictable recruits.

Filming for the initial 10 episodes of "Exiles" concluded in February of this year. The cast, including Ronen Rubinstein, Freddy Miyares, Lucy Barrett, Zyra Gorecki, and Adain Bradley, has reportedly formed a close bond, as evidenced by recent social media posts. Notably, original "S.W.A.T." cast members Jay Harrington, David Lim, and Patrick St. Esprit are also set to appear, reprising their beloved roles.

While "S.W.A.T. Exiles" has not yet secured a broadcast or streaming platform, its screening at the LA Screenings marks a significant step towards potential distribution. Fans are eagerly awaiting a pickup announcement, with the original "S.W.A.T." series currently available for streaming on Netflix.
