Shemar Moore reprises his role as Sgt. Daniel "Hondo" Harrelson in the new S.W.A.T. spinoff, Exiles, set to debut on Starz on September 25. The series picks up after the original S.W.A.T. concluded its eight-season run in May 2025.
Hondo is assigned to build a brand-new S.W.A.T. unit from Los Angeles' most talented rejects. This team includes unique individuals like Sammy Bishop, Ethan Cole, Cassidy Reed, Jude Callan, and Malik Anderson, all determined to prove themselves.
As the Exiles begin their work, Hondo discovers an insider feeding information to external parties, hinting at power and corruption within his own ranks. The show has already secured a second season pickup.
The series' launch was preceded by significant cast drama, with original S.W.A.T. members reportedly blindsided by the spinoff announcement. Stars like David Lim and Jay Harrington expressed disappointment over not being notified earlier, though some, including Harrington and Patrick St. Esprit, are set to reprise their roles.
