Swara Bhasker Recounts Disturbing Director Encounter

Swara Bhasker has shared a troubling experience from the start of her acting career. Shortly after her success in 'Tanu Weds Manu', she took on a leading role in another film. According to Bhasker, the director's behavior became unprofessional, beginning with unsolicited messages and poetry.

The director then proposed rehearsing a romantic scene privately with Bhasker. She questioned this arrangement, asking why the entire crew, including the actor and camera person, wouldn't be present for such a rehearsal. Bhasker asserted her discomfort and refusal of the private session.

Further unsettling incidents occurred at the guest house where the cast and crew were staying. Bhasker stated she was the only woman there. She recalled returning to her room to find the director and cinematographer drinking.

Later that night, the director allegedly came to her room while intoxicated and asked for a hug. Bhasker recounted her fear and refusal, stating she was scared and asked him to leave. She noted that such experiences were particularly difficult for a young actor seeking to establish herself in the film industry.
