Sussanne Khan Designs Art Deco Future for Mumbai Project

Interior designer Sussanne Khan has partnered with the AGM Vijaylaxmi Group for WIZ, a new commercial real estate development in Andheri East, Mumbai. Khan's design vision for WIZ is inspired by Art Deco, reinterpreting its elements through a modern lens.

The project aims to be an experience-led commercial destination, harmonizing architecture, interiors, lighting, and artwork. Khan's approach emphasizes geometry, symmetry, strong proportions, and understated glamour to create a distinctive identity.

Khan is working with the wider design team on various aspects, ensuring functional elements enhance the visual character. She stated the goal is a commercial design environment with "visual rhythm and emotional character."

Vikash Kawar, Director at AGM Vijaylaxmi Group, highlighted the ambition to create developments with enduring identity, stating WIZ combines functionality with sophistication. Gagan Mehta, another Director, noted changing business expectations for commercial real estate, emphasizing the need for differentiated and aspirational spaces.

This collaboration is part of AGM Vijaylaxmi Group's broader real estate strategy, which includes commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects.
