Sushmita Sen Bounces Back After Heart Attack, Completes Aarya 3 Shoot

In November 2025, Sushmita Sen, the acclaimed Bollywood actress and former Miss Universe, continues to inspire her fans with her resilience and determination. Earlier this year, in February 2023, Sen suffered a heart attack while in the middle of shooting for her crime-thriller series Aarya 3. However, she refused to let this setback deter her.

Remarkably, Sen was conscious throughout the heart attack and the subsequent stent procedure, a medical process to open a blocked coronary artery and restore blood flow. She specifically asked the doctors not to numb the pain, wanting to remain aware and in control during the procedure. Sen's desire to stay conscious was driven by her belief that "there is no point in sulking" about the heart attack, as she felt there was a reason she survived it.

Despite the medical emergency, Sen was determined to return to the Aarya 3 set as soon as possible. She was aware that her absence could disrupt the production and impact the daily wages of the crew members. While her doctors advised her to take more time to recover, Sen managed to be back on set within 15 days, showcasing her unwavering commitment to her work and her team.
