A devastating accident has led to the suspension of Survivor Greece's current season. Stavros Floros, a 21-year-old beekeeper and contestant, suffered severe injuries on May 10 while spearfishing during a break from filming in the Dominican Republic.
A passing tourist boat accidentally struck Floros while he was in the water. The vessel's propeller caused a partial amputation of his left leg below the knee and significant trauma to his right ankle. He was immediately attended to and transported for medical care.
Floros remains hospitalized in serious but stable condition and is reportedly out of danger. The production company, AcunMedya, assured that immediate assistance was provided and port authorities are investigating the incident to determine the full circumstances.
In light of the accident, Skai TV announced the temporary suspension of the program's broadcast until the investigation is complete. The network has pledged full support for Floros' treatment and rehabilitation.
