9 Nov
Summary
- Barry Williams and Maureen McCormick's chemistry was "too much" on The Brady Bunch set
- Producer Lloyd Schwartz had to intervene and remind Williams that McCormick was his "sister"
- Co-star Christopher Knight also noticed the "dreamy-eyed" looks between the two

According to a recent report, the stars of the classic sitcom The Brady Bunch experienced some unexpected on-set chemistry as they went through adolescence during the show's five-season run. In an episode of the CW's docuseries TV We Love, Barry Williams, who played Greg Brady, discussed the changing dynamics with his co-star Maureen McCormick, who portrayed Marcia Brady.
In a 1973 episode called "Room at the Top," the two characters fought to claim the attic space as their own bedrooms. Producer Lloyd Schwartz, son of the show's creator Sherwood Schwartz, recalled a scene where Williams' character Greg tried to comfort a distraught Marcia. However, Schwartz noticed that the chemistry between the two actors seemed to go beyond a typical sibling relationship.
