The 13th Sur Jyotsna National Music Awards were celebrated in New Delhi on Friday, recognizing the significant contributions of veteran Hindustani vocalists Sumitra Guha and Pandit Laxman Krishnarao Pandit to Indian classical music. The prestigious awards ceremony took place at the Dr Ambedkar International Centre.
Supreme Court judge Justice Sandeep Mehta presented the accolades. The event was graced by numerous dignitaries, including Union ministers and former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Ghulam Nabi Azad. Singer Kailash Kher and his band provided musical performances to open and close the ceremony.
