The cast of David Gordon Green's action thriller 'Supermax' has grown with the addition of Nicholas Alexander Chavez, Andrés Almeida, Martin Bats Bradford, and Erika Ringor. These actors join the previously announced leads, Will Smith and AnnaSophia Robb, in the Amazon MGM Studios and Miramax production. Filming for 'Supermax' has officially begun today in New South Wales, Australia, benefiting from support from the NSW Government's Made in NSW Fund.
The film's plot centers on two FBI agents tasked with solving a perplexing murder that occurs within the confines of a notoriously secure, maximum-security prison. Further casting includes Jaafar Jackson and Jason Clarke, with David Weil and David J. Rosen penning the script.
'Supermax' is being produced by Andrew Rona and Alex Heineman, alongside Will Smith and Adam Fishbach. The project also involves extensive executive producers from Miramax and Westbrook Studios. The film is slated for a worldwide release on Prime Video by Amazon MGM.
