Summary
- A Golden Age Superman robot is back in canon.
- The robot aided Superboy Prime against the Omega Legion.
- This robot could replicate Superman's powers and appearance.

A forgotten ally from the Golden Age of comics has made a triumphant return to DC Comics canon. In the recent DC K.O. event, a decommissioned Superman robot, originally introduced in 1949, proved instrumental in defending the Fortress of Solitude.
The robot's re-emergence occurred during a fierce battle where Superboy Prime and Lois Lane were attacked by the Omega Legion. This corrupted Legion of Super-Heroes sought Superboy Prime across time, originating from a timeline influenced by Darkseid. The timely intervention of the Superman robot, capable of mimicking the Man of Steel's powers and likeness, turned the tide of the conflict.
Unlike other Fortress of Solitude automatons, these specialized robots were designed to replicate Superman's full suite of abilities. Clark Kent had retired most of them due to malfunctions, but kept one for security and to tend to Krypto, ensuring a loyal guardian remained.
