Netflix is set to release its first Telugu Original Series, Super Subbu, on July 2. This comedy-drama centers on Subramanyam Chillukuri Rao, known as Subbu, a young man unexpectedly appointed as a sex education officer in the fictional village of Maakipur.
Despite his lack of experience, Subbu must educate the villagers on sensitive subjects, leading to a series of humorous and chaotic situations. The series delves into themes of sex education, consent, family dynamics, and relationships through a light-hearted narrative.
Creator and director Mallik Ram aimed to use humor to break down taboos surrounding these topics, with Subbu as the innocent, relatable central character. The ensemble cast, including Sundeep Kishan and Mithila Palkar, brings charm to the story.
