'Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari' Trails 'Kantara' at the Box Office

On October 2, 2022, the film 'Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari' was released in cinemas, facing stiff competition from Rishab Shetty's 'Kantara: Chapter 1'. While 'Kantara' has been smashing box office records, collecting over ₹300 crore in its first week, 'Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari' has struggled to keep up.

In the first week, 'Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari' made ₹41.1 crore at the box office. The film saw a drop in collections on the second day, Friday, making only ₹5.5 crore. However, it saw growth over the weekend, earning ₹7.5 crore each on Saturday and Sunday. The film's collections then gradually declined, with it making around ₹2-3 crore per day in the following days.

By the end of the second week, 'Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari' had collected a total of ₹46.6 crore. The producers of the film had earlier acknowledged that the budget and scale of their project were much smaller compared to 'Kantara', and they did not expect the kind of numbers the latter film has achieved.
