'Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari' Faces Sharp Box Office Decline as 'Kantara' Surges

On Monday, the Varun Dhawan-Janhvi Kapoor film 'Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari' faced a significant drop at the box office, collecting just ₹3 crore on its fourth day. While a weekday decline is expected after the opening weekend, this sharp drop indicates the film is struggling to maintain momentum.

In contrast, the Rishab Shetty-directed 'Kantara: A Legend Chapter-1' has been dominating the Hindi market. The film collected an impressive ₹23 crore from its Hindi version alone on Sunday, showcasing its growing popularity. Over the past five days, 'Kantara' has grossed a whopping ₹255.75 crore across all languages, with its Hindi version set to cross the ₹100 crore mark in the coming days.

Given the rising word-of-mouth and strong performance of 'Kantara', it will be challenging for 'Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari' to better its run at the box office. The romantic comedy, set against a wedding backdrop, also features Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf, and Maniesh Paul in important roles. Directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Dharma Productions, 'Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari' has received mixed reviews, further contributing to its struggle to compete with the juggernaut that is 'Kantara'.
