Filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi has announced a new collaboration with actor Sunny Deol, an action drama titled 'Ghatak Ghus Ke Maarega.' This film will see Deol return as the character he portrayed in the 1996 hit 'Ghatak,' although it is not a direct sequel.
Santoshi described the upcoming project as an action-heavy film that blends action with emotion and strong dialogues. He also mentioned that other story ideas with Deol are in development, including one where Deol plays a sardar in America. This marks a reunion for the director-actor duo, who previously worked together on several successful films in the 1990s.
In other news, Rajkumar Santoshi has confirmed he will not be directing 'Jaat 2,' a follow-up to Sunny Deol's 2025 action drama 'Jaat.' Santoshi stated he does not believe in making sequels.
Furthermore, Santoshi is developing 'Ada Apni Apni,' a project connected to the world of his 1994 comedy 'Andaz Apna Apna,' but clarified it will be a different story with similar comedy and adventure elements. Casting for this film is yet to be announced.
Meanwhile, Santoshi and Deol's latest film, 'Batwara 1947,' a partition drama, was released on August 14. It stars Preity G Zinta and Karan Deol.
