The 41st IDA Documentary Awards, set to take place in early December 2025, will celebrate some of the most influential figures in the documentary filmmaking community. Oscar-nominated producer Julie Goldman will be honored with the IDA's Career Achievement Award, recognizing her extensive body of work that has championed many of the industry's greatest talents.
Brittany Shyne, the breakout director of the Sundance-winning documentary "Seeds," will receive the Emerging Filmmaker Award. Shyne's poetic and observational style has earned her acclaim for her ability to weave together complex themes of race, class, and family.
