Brittany Shyne, the breakout director of the Sundance-winning documentary "Seeds," will receive the Emerging Filmmaker Award. Shyne's poetic and observational style has earned her acclaim for her ability to weave together complex themes of race, class, and family.
Additionally, the prestigious IDA Pioneer Award will be presented to Impact Partners, the Brooklyn-based film fund that has provided crucial financing to countless independent documentary projects over the past 18 years.
