This five-day intensive is designed to nurture emerging storytellers. Fellows will receive guidance from seasoned showrunners and development executives, workshopping their pilot scripts and series pitches. The lab includes dedicated story meetings, panels, and writers' rooms focused on enhancing writing skills and market relevance.
Creative advisors for the 2026 lab include notable industry figures such as Jason Katims and James Wong. Mentors from major companies like Netflix and AMC+ will also support the fellows. The program was previously held in Utah but has relocated to Georgia.
Director Jandiz Estrada Cardoso noted the current television landscape prompts questions about audience desires. She highlighted that this year's selected artists are presenting bold worlds, reflecting a sense of high stakes and the pursuit of control. Michelle Satter, Founding Senior Director of Artist Programs, expressed excitement for the new venue and partnerships in Georgia.
