Summary
- Actor Patrick J. Adams slams critic for "smearing" Meghan Markle
- Describes Meghan as "kind, giving, and talented" co-worker
- Recalls fondly supporting Meghan before her royal transition

On November 7, 2025, former "Suits" actor Patrick J. Adams took to social media to vehemently defend his co-star Meghan Markle against allegations of being "difficult, demanding and rude" on the set of the legal drama. The criticism was made by journalist Angela Levin, who suggested Meghan would not "love being told what to do by any producer."
In his response, Adams, who played lawyer Robert Zane on the show, described Meghan as a "kind, giving, and talented artist" whom he had enjoyed working with for years. He accused Levin of being a "gossip monger looking to profit off of smearing a woman" she knew nothing about. Adams expressed regret for allowing Levin's comments to get under his skin, stating he would instead focus on the "friendship" and "fond memories" he had from working with Meghan.
Prior to Meghan's departure from "Suits" to join the Royal Family in 2018, Adams had publicly supported her, recalling how he had assured her that her life was about to change but that she would always have friends who would be there for her. In a 2013 interview, Meghan had also spoken about the close bond between the "Suits" cast, both on and off screen, which contributed to the show's success.
