Separately, the South African extreme sports drama 'Spinners' is gearing up for its highly anticipated second season. The series, co-produced by African streaming service Showmax and Canal+, will see the return of showrunner and co-creator Benjamin Hoffman, as well as director Jaco Bouwer and writers Matthew Jankes and Sean Steinberg. The first season of 'Spinners' made history as the first African show to compete in the main competition at Cannes Series in 2023, and went on to win awards at various festivals.
