Strictly Star Neil Jones Mourns Father's Passing in Emotional Tribute

On November 14th, 2025, Strictly Come Dancing star Neil Jones took to Instagram to announce the passing of his father, David. In an emotional post, Jones shared several black and white photos of his father and expressed gratitude to his loved ones for making the funeral a "special day."

Jones revealed that he learned new and "lovely & funny stories" about his father from family and friends, which made him realize he "didn't know [his] dad" as well as he thought. The dancer said he believes his father would be "smiling looking down with a pint in his hand."

The news of David's passing has been met with an outpouring of condolences from Jones' Strictly colleagues, including Karen Hauer, Fleur East, Katya Jones, and Motsi Mabuse.

Alongside the personal loss, Jones and his fiancée, Love Island star Chyna Mills, have also been facing housing challenges. In December 2025, the couple revealed they were living on a boat due to difficulties in finding a permanent home. Mills described the house-hunting process as "hell," explaining they had sold their previous homes to buy a new property together but were still "in limbo" as they searched for the right place.

The boat, initially intended as a holiday retreat or Airbnb rental, has now become the young family's temporary home. However, the couple plans to "cruise around" during the summer months.
