La Voix, a notable drag queen and Strictly Come Dancing contestant, has officially withdrawn from the competition permanently. This difficult decision was announced during the show's Blackpool Tower Week, with medics ruling that she could not continue due to an injury sustained earlier in the competition. The star, whose real name is Christopher Dennis, had been experiencing significant pain and struggling with her foot since the foxtrot routine.
Explaining the severity of her injury on It Takes Two, La Voix revealed she had been dealing with a niggle in her foot that progressively worsened. The need to switch to flat shoes highlighted the extent of her discomfort. Further examination revealed a deep bone bruise near where her toe joins her foot, a condition that, if exacerbated, could lead to a stress fracture requiring six to eight weeks of recovery in a boot.
Despite her disappointment, La Voix expressed gratitude for the support from the Strictly professional team and physios. She shared her sadness on Instagram, receiving a bouquet of flowers from Blossom & Ivy, acknowledging it as a "gorgeous surprise on an otherwise sad day of not dancing in Blackpool." She also hit back at fans who suggested she had faked her injury.
