Strictly Halloween Song Choices Spark Fan Debate

Strictly Come Dancing's Halloween Week has ignited a debate among fans regarding the chosen musical numbers and their corresponding dance styles. Viewers have taken to social media to question pairings, including a Quickstep set to Little Mix's 'Black Magic' and a Salsa inspired by the Scissor Sisters' 'Filty/Gorgeous'. Some fans expressed confusion about the Halloween theme of several song selections.

Despite the criticism, supporters of the show have defended the choices, encouraging others to wait and see the performances. Professional dancers and contestants have also revealed upcoming routines. Former footballer Shaun Wright-Phillips, who recently exited the competition, appeared on It Takes Two. He candidly admitted he had anticipated his departure after landing in the dance-off for the second time.

Wright-Phillips discussed his mindset upon learning he was in the bottom two again, noting he was already mentally preparing for elimination. His professional partner, Alexis Warr, offered support, emphasizing his consistent effort and fighting spirit throughout the competition. Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday, October 31, on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
