Stranger Things Director Weeps Over Emotional Season 5 Finale

In a recent interview, Shawn Levy, the director and executive producer of the hit Netflix series Stranger Things, shared details about his involvement in the show's upcoming fifth and final season. Levy, who has been with the series since its inception, disclosed that he directed two episodes later in the season, including Episode 6 titled "Escape from Camazotz" and Episode 7 titled "The Bridge."

Notably, Levy also co-directed Episode 7 with the Duffer brothers, the creators of Stranger Things, marking the first time the trio has shared directing duties. Levy described this as a "fitting commemoration of this brotherhood" they have forged over the years.

However, Levy's most poignant revelation was his emotional reaction to the Season 5 finale. He shared that he was "in the pitch when we first told that story" and had been involved in every outline and script, but nothing could have prepared him for the impact of watching the finale episode. Levy said he "Facetimed [the Duffer brothers] from Star Wars in London weeping" after seeing the finale, which he described as "so moving" and one that "really sticks the landing."

Levy's words suggest that the Stranger Things Season 5 finale will be a powerful and emotional conclusion to the beloved series, leaving a lasting impression on both the cast and crew.
