Darrell Sheets Feared for Life Amid Cyberbullying Attack

Storage Wars personality Darrell Sheets had expressed intense fear for his life due to persistent cyberbullying, according to co-stars Laura and Dan Dotson. They revealed that Sheets' family indicated this harassment had been occurring for three years, significantly impacting him. Sheets publicly addressed the issue in March, stating on Facebook that an "evil person" was hacking his accounts and spreading false information. He detailed how this individual was impersonating him, making false claims about his identity and actions, and even extorting money from people in his town.

Sheets also reported that people were showing up at his workplace intending to harm him, and that police were aware but felt their hands were tied due to social media platform policies. He further claimed that his cyberbully stalker was targeting other small businesses in his town, using Sheets' name. A spokesperson for the Lake Havasu City Police Department confirmed they are aware of the cyberbullying accusations and that these claims are a part of their active investigation. Sheets died at age 67 on April 22, 2021, in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. An official cause of death has not been confirmed.
