Global music icon Sting has reportedly invested £80,000 in a new marble bathtub for his luxurious villa located in Sorrento, Italy. The bathtub, described as finely crafted with intricate mosaic details, will be a centerpiece at his property overlooking the scenic Bay of Naples.
This extravagant purchase follows a recent legal dispute where Sting was ordered by London's High Court to pay around £600,000 to former Police bandmates Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers. The dispute concerned unpaid streaming royalties, with the bandmates claiming over £1.49 million in arranger's fees.
Sting, who is married to Trudie Styler, also owns a sprawling 900-acre estate in Tuscany called Il Palagio. This Tuscan property features a lake, guest houses, a pool, a chapel converted into a meditation space, and a vineyard that produces organic wines named after his iconic songs, such as 'Message In A Bottle'.
