Summary

- Sting constantly updating and evolving the show since its 2014 Broadway run

In June 2025, renowned musician Sting will bring his musical 'The Last Ship' to the prestigious Metropolitan Opera House in New York City. The show, which is based on Sting's upbringing in a British shipbuilding town, will run for nine performances from June 9th to June 14th.
Sting, who has been working on the musical ever since its initial Broadway run in 2014, has continued to evolve and refine the production. He has even written a new song that will be part of the Met Opera adaptation. Sting, who describes the show as one of the "greatest adventures" of his life, will portray the character of Jackie White, a shipyard foreman dealing with failing health.
Joining Sting on stage will be reggae star and longtime collaborator Shaggy, who will co-star as the Ferryman. This marks a return to the Met for Sting, who previously made his debut at the opera house with a concert in 2010.
