Steven Yeun Stars in Dark Netflix Supernatural Drama 'Pagans'

Steven Yeun, fresh off his Emmy win for "Beef" and an Oscar nomination for "Minari," is returning to Netflix for a new series titled "Pagans." He will also serve as an executive producer on the supernatural drama, created by Joshua Zetumer. Netflix won a multi-outlet bidding war last year for the project, granting it a straight-to-series order.

The series description reveals that "Pagans" centers on Gus, played by Yeun, who must navigate single fatherhood after the tragic loss of his wife. His daughter, Alice, is far from typical, and their strained relationship evolves into something sinister. The show aims to be equal parts emotional, horrifying, and humorous, delving into dark thoughts about family.

Joshua Zetumer, known for FX's "Say Nothing," will be the showrunner for "Pagans." He executive produces alongside Drew Goddard, Sarah Esberg, Jonathan van Tulleken, Erica Kay, Yeun, and Christina Oh. Yeun's upcoming projects include the Netflix feature film "Animals" and he voices the title character in Prime Video's "Invincible."
