Steve Lacy Drops New Single 'The Feeling'

Steve Lacy has unveiled his first single of 2026, "The Feeling," a track that introduces his upcoming album, "Oh Yeah?," due out next month. The accompanying music video, directed by Matthew Castellanos, features psychedelic backdrops and intimate performance scenes. Lacy has been hinting at this new musical phase since October 2025, when he released the single "Nice Shoes." He described this period as designing a new artistic language for himself.

The artist's last major project, "Gemini Rights," earned him a Grammy for Best Progressive R&B Album in 2023 and included his hit song "Bad Habit." His debut solo album, "Apollo XXI," was released in 2019. "Oh Yeah?" marks a significant new chapter following the success of his previous works.
