Stranger Things Star Wears Original Steve Costume to Friend's Wedding

A popular actor recently officiated the wedding of his close friend and Post Animal bandmate, Matt Williams, and Veronica Capaldi in Simi Valley, California. For the Halloween-themed ceremony, he chose to wear his original Scoops Ahoy sailor costume from season 3 of Stranger Things, a look he sported for about a year during filming. The outfit was borrowed from the show's costume designer, Amy Parris.

Capaldi suggested the actor dress as Steve Harrington for the event, a humorous idea that gained attention when photos circulated online. The actor emphasized that it was not a solo costume choice; the entire wedding party was dressed in various costumes, as evidenced by a photo he shared showing others dressed as characters like the Riddler and Shrek. He explained that the costume was a significant part of his life during filming.

Despite his attempts to convince the Duffer Brothers to alter Steve's look during production, they insisted on keeping the complete Scoops Ahoy outfit. The actor humorously commented that the costume felt slightly tighter when he wore it again for the wedding, particularly the shorts. Stranger Things recently released its latest episodes, with the finale expected on New Year's Day.
