The 14th edition of the Evolution Mallorca International Film Festival is set to take place from October 21-29, 2025 in Palma, Spain. The festival will open with the San Sebastian winner Sundays, directed by Alauda Ruiz de Azúa.
Renowned actor Steve Buscemi will be the recipient of the festival's Evolution Icon Award this year. Buscemi's extensive filmography includes acclaimed titles such as Reservoir Dogs, Fargo, The Big Lebowski, and the TV series Boardwalk Empire. His most recent film, Psycho Therapy, will close the festival.
The festival's official competition selection features a diverse lineup of 9 feature films, including the recent Venice Golden Lion winner Father Mother Sister Brother by Jim Jarmusch, as well as works by directors like Julia Ducornau, Rebecca Zlotowski, and Isabel Coixet. In total, the festival will showcase over 130 films from 30 countries.
Beyond the film screenings, the festival will also host industry-focused events, such as the "Women In Leadership" roundtable, an "Innovation Focus with Largo AI" session, and discussions with the Evolution Award recipients.
