Steve Buscemi Joins Far Cry FX Series

Steve Buscemi has joined the cast of the forthcoming FX anthology series, Far Cry, based on Ubisoft's popular video game franchise. Mac and Lizzy Caplan are also set to star in the adaptation.

The series will adopt Far Cry's distinctive standalone storytelling approach, with each season unfolding in a new environment and featuring a fresh ensemble of characters. Specific plot points and Buscemi's role are currently being kept under wraps by the production.

Executive producers Noah Hawley and Rob Mac are leading the project. Hawley is known for FX's Fargo and Alien: Earth, while Mac created It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and executive produced Welcome to Wrexham. The expansive list of executive producers includes Simon Emanuel, Emilia Serrano, Nicholas Frenkel, Monica Macer, Peter Calloway, John Campisi, Gerard Guillemot, Margaret Boykin, and Austin Dill.

The Far Cry video game franchise, which began in 2004, is celebrated for its intense first-person combat, open-world gameplay, unique narratives, and memorable villains. The series is produced by FX Productions.
