Mom Fires Back at Ex Steve Burton's Custody Claims

Sheree Burton has responded to claims made by her ex-husband, Steve Burton, regarding their daughter.

Steve had alleged that Sheree was hindering his access to their 12-year-old daughter, Brooklyn. However, Sheree has formally denied these accusations in court filings. She asserts that Steve's messages are filled with baseless claims that do not align with the facts.

Currently, Sheree wishes to relocate from California to Tennessee. She has historically been the primary caregiver for Brooklyn. She notes that Steve himself planned to move from California to Tennessee in February 2026, after a custody schedule was to be established.

Sheree explained that Steve had previously claimed visitation was problematic and initiated further court proceedings. She alleges he communicated intentions to move back to California due to these issues, but she now desires to move to Tennessee. Sheree contends that if Brooklyn remains in California, she would be under the care of Steve's new wife rather than her mother.

Steve Burton filed for divorce in 2022 after 23 years of marriage, following Sheree's announcement of her pregnancy with another man's child. At that time, he stated they were separated.
