Steps Star Welcomes Baby After Heartbreak

Singer Lee Latchford-Evans, known for his role in the Steps band, joyfully announced on Saturday that his wife, Kerry-Lucy, has given birth to their second child. He shared a touching black-and-white photo on Instagram, capturing the moment they left the hospital with their newborn.

This happy news arrives after the couple endured significant emotional trials. They previously suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage and later faced a traumatic birth with their elder son, Leo, who is now four. During Leo's birth, Kerry-Lucy experienced complications, including the baby being in a breech position, necessitating a C-section.

Kerry-Lucy also battled pre-eclampsia, a high blood pressure condition during pregnancy. She recounted terrifying moments when the anesthesia for her C-section failed to take effect immediately, requiring additional medication and an epidural. Lee played a crucial role in caring for their newborn as Kerry-Lucy was on bed rest post-operation.

Reflecting on their journey, the couple expressed immense gratitude, stating they appreciate parenthood even more after their losses. Lee noted the spectrum of experiences, from miscarriage to this new arrival, makes them feel truly blessed.
