Unreleased Stephen Bishop Song Surfaces After 50 Years

This October marks the 50th anniversary of Stephen Bishop's debut album, 'Careless.' The album originally featured yacht rock hits like "On & On" and "Save It for a Rainy Day." Now, an unreleased track, the ballad "I Don't Know You Anymore," is being premiered with a new animated video.

Bishop expressed his long-held belief in "I Don't Know You Anymore," stating his happiness that it is finally available to listeners fifty years later. A limited vinyl edition of 'Careless' is set for release on Friday, August 14. This special edition will include "I Don't Know You Anymore" and another unreleased song, "Back Again," along with a 20-page booklet.

The enduring popularity of 'Careless' is noted, with current artists like Keith Urban covering its songs. Bishop reflected on how music was once experienced album-wide and expressed gratitude for the album's continued impact across generations. He also shared that he will celebrate the album's milestone at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles on October 9.
