Buldhana's 'Namdev Payri' Wins State's Top Play Award

The inaugural Chief Minister's Mahakarandak State-Level One-Act Play Competition, conceptualised by MLC Sandip Joshi, has concluded with 'Namdev Payri' by Manuski Multipurpose Foundation, Buldhana, taking home the coveted top prize. The prestigious event, organised by the Shri Siddhivinayak Seva Trust, celebrated theatrical talent at its Scientific Auditorium, culminating in an award ceremony.
Following 'Namdev Payri,' Giraffe Theatres from Titwala secured the second position for their performance 'Chaplin Smile.' Chandrarath Theatres, Nagpur, earned third place with their production 'The Dark Age.' Additionally, consolation prizes were awarded to 'Prem Ki Yatana' and 'Rada,' acknowledging their creative efforts.
Beyond the main awards, the competition recognized excellence in various domains. Vijay Sonone was lauded for his direction, while writing honours went to a trio of talented individuals. Numerous artists were also celebrated for their outstanding contributions in acting, costume design, lighting, and music, marking a successful conclusion to the state's first one-act play contest.
