17 Apr
Summary
- Starfield receives a rating for Nintendo Switch 2.
- The rating was issued by Taiwan's software board on April 15, 2026.
- Bethesda has not officially announced the Switch 2 port.
A rating for a Nintendo Switch 2 version of Starfield has surfaced, indicating the popular RPG may be headed to the new console. The Taiwan Entertainment Software Rating Information board logged a rating for the game on April 15, 2026. This rating, classified as 'Restricted,' suggests content including violence, drugs, and inappropriate language.
While Bethesda has not yet officially confirmed a Switch 2 port, the rating strongly implies its development is underway. Speculation about a Starfield port for Nintendo's hardware has been ongoing since late last year. This news comes after the game's successful launch on PlayStation 5 earlier this month, which featured enhanced DualSense support and specific graphics modes for the PS5 Pro.
Starfield, originally released as an Xbox and PC exclusive in September 2023, recently received two significant expansions: Terran Armada and Free Lanes. Terran Armada introduced new premium content, while the Free Lanes update added a much-requested ship-based travel feature within systems. Fans eagerly await an official announcement regarding the Switch 2 version.
