Starbucks Japan Brews Up Pikachu Latte Magic!

Starting September 30, 2026, Starbucks Japan will offer the "Pikachu Honey Cream Latte" nationwide. This special drink won first place in Starbucks' "Barista Battle" competition, which evaluated over 700 unique recipes submitted by employees. The latte features an espresso blend with honey and caramel, topped with honey-flavored whipped cream and red sugar pieces resembling Pikachu's cheeks.

Created by barista Junko Nitta, the drink aims to bring joy to everyone through coffee. In addition to the latte, Starbucks Japan has launched a large collection of over 41 new Pokémon-themed merchandise items, including drinkware and coffee accessories. Collectible art cards featuring six new Pokémon designs are also available with qualifying purchases.
