This renewed agreement consolidates Balboa's film and television operations under one roof at Amazon MGM Studios, following a previous arrangement that had TV operations at MGM Television. The companies have a history of successful collaborations, including "Samaritan," "Creed III," and "A Working Man."
Future projects include an untitled Mike Thornton film starring Alan Ritchson, currently in principal photography in Queensland, Australia, and the psychological series "Mindf*ck" based on a book series, with Stallone's daughter Sophia involved.
Sylvester Stallone expressed his excitement, noting Amazon's "tremendous passion" and the deepening relationship, especially with Courtenay Valenti and Peter Friedlander leading the respective film and TV divisions. The deal aims to provide Balboa the support and freedom to create "truly special" projects.
