Stallone & Jackson Unite for New King Series

Sylvester Stallone has officially kicked off filming for "Frisco King," the highly anticipated spin-off of his hit series "Tulsa King." Stallone shared a behind-the-scenes photo alongside Samuel L. Jackson, captioning it, "From one king to another," signaling the start of this new chapter. The image features both actors with scripts in hand, ready to bring this new crime drama to life.

The new series, "Frisco King," expands Taylor Sheridan's established universe and centers on Samuel L. Jackson's character, Russell Lee Washington Jr. Washington, a hardened hitman with New York mob ties, was introduced in "Tulsa King Season 3" and is now seeking a fresh start in Texas, where he aims to build a new criminal enterprise. The show delves into themes of redemption and loyalty.

"Frisco King" does not replace "Tulsa King," which stars Stallone as Dwight "The General" Manfredi establishing his own operation in Oklahoma after prison. Instead, "Frisco King" broadens the interconnected narrative through shared connections and potential rivalries. Filming is currently underway in Texas, primarily around Fort Worth, offering a distinct setting from typical mob dramas.

This project marks a significant milestone for Samuel L. Jackson, as it is his first time headlining a TV drama series. Taylor Sheridan is personally writing all eight episodes of the first season. "Frisco King" is slated to stream on Paramount+, though an official release date has yet to be announced.
