The NBC medical comedy series "St. Denis Medical" is set to welcome a star-studded guest cast for its upcoming second season. According to the announcement, five new actors will be joining the show's ensemble: Al Madrigal, Jayma Mays, Suzy Nakamura, Enuka Okuma, and Mel Rodriguez.
Season 2 of "St. Denis Medical" will pick up after the hospital receives a substantial private donation, putting more on the plate of hospital administrator Joyce, played by Wendi McLendon-Covey. Meanwhile, the show's other characters will navigate staff shortages, office conflicts, and their personal lives.
Madrigal will portray Michael, a building inspector with a peculiar connection to Joyce. Rodriguez will play Mel, a candidate for a key role in the hospital's new birthing center. Okuma is set to appear as Dr. Fenner, a neurosurgeon who catches the eye of Ron, played by David Allen Grier. Mays will take on the role of Kelly, a physician's assistant overseeing staff physicals, while Nakamura will play Camille Jacobs, an administrator from a rival hospital.
These new additions join an already impressive lineup of guest stars for Season 2, including Bravo's Ariana Madix, NBA star Draymond Green, Olympic skater Adam Rippon, and "Love Island USA" star Jeremiah Brown. Other notable guest appearances will come from Kristen Schaal, Lauren Weedman, Frankie Quiñones, and more.
The series, which premiered its first season in 2024, has seen a steady rise in viewership, with the recent Season 2 premiere hitting its best 18-49 demographic since December 2024 and its best total viewers since February. The show has now surpassed 3.5 million total viewers and was NBC's top new series of the 2024-2025 season, reaching 35 million viewers across all platforms.
