Summary
- SRK and Aishwarya played siblings in 2000 film 'Josh'
- SRK later joked this was his "one big regret"
- Duo later starred as iconic on-screen lovers in 'Devdas'

In October 2025, Bollywood fans are reminiscing about the iconic on-screen pairing of Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The two superstars, who have captivated audiences with their fiery chemistry in films like 'Devdas', once played a surprising role together - that of twin siblings.
Back in the year 2000, SRK and Aishwarya were cast as Max and Shirley, a pair of inseparable twins in the hit film 'Josh'. While their sibling bond was a highlight of the movie, the unconventional casting put two of the industry's most charismatic actors in a completely platonic, familial relationship.
Years later, in a widely circulated video from an old award function, SRK shared the stage with Aishwarya and made a witty confession. He joked that his one big regret was that in his first major film with the "world's most beautiful woman," he was cast as her brother. SRK added that, to make it worse, people would often tell them they looked alike, as twins often do. However, the actor eventually made peace with the fact, reasoning that if Aishwarya is the most beautiful woman in the world, and he was cast as her twin, then he must be just as good-looking.
The two have since gone on to share the screen in several other films, including 'Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam' and 'Mohobbatein'. Their last appearance together was in the 2016 film 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil', where their on-screen chemistry had evolved from siblings to a powerful romantic pair.
