Charles Spencer Believes Diana Would Approve Memoir

Charles Spencer has released his most personal book yet, "Swan Song: Diana, My Sister," a tribute to his late sister, Princess Diana. Spencer shared that completing the memoir, especially after recording its audiobook, left him certain he had conveyed his intended message. He expressed a firm belief that Princess Diana herself would have approved of all the words written.

The book, set for release on September 22, marks the first time Spencer has extensively discussed Diana. It arrives shortly after the 29th anniversary of her passing. Spencer, who previously delivered an impassioned eulogy at Diana's funeral, continues his mission to defend her legacy by telling her story as he knew it.

Spencer was motivated to write the memoir due to numerous interview requests surrounding Diana's death anniversary. He wished to present his own thoughts and memories, countering widespread opinions he deemed inaccurate. He hopes the book will introduce Diana's true character to a new generation.

Spencer's protectiveness extended to Diana's sons, Prince William and Prince Harry. Harry's memoir "Spare" recounted Spencer's strong reaction to the plan for the young princes to walk behind their mother's coffin. Spencer described Diana as a dynamic character full of love, charisma, and self-doubt.
