Starz has unveiled the first trailer for "Spartacus: House of Ashur," marking creator Steven S. DeKnight's return to the franchise. The series plunges viewers back into the brutality of Ancient Rome with the shocking resurrection of Ashur, who now assumes the title of 'Dominus,' master of his own formidable House. Fueled by a deep-seated desire for vengeance and sharp ambition, Ashur ascends from a history of betrayal and bloodshed.
He seizes power in a new arena brimming with violence, unbridled desire, and complex loyalties. The trailer showcases gladiatorial combat with intense gore, highlighting the life-or-death stakes dictated by a simple thumbs-up or thumbs-down. Notably, Liam McIntyre makes a brief but impactful appearance as Spartacus, shown being impaled by Ashur.
The series premieres with its first two episodes on December 5, followed by subsequent episodes released Fridays via the network's app and linear channel.
